13th March 2013 - Coming Soon
At the end of the month (Bank Holiday weekend 24th-27th May), the
Star pub in Huddersfield is holding a Mini-Mild and Mallinsons
Festival. As well a good selection of milds from other breweries,
we'll be providing several festival specials, all focusing on the hops! 8th April 2013 - Meet the Brewsters
We are really looking forward to heading over to Liverpool this
Wednesday 10th April for a Meet the Brewsters event at the Lion
Tavern at 7.30pm 11th March 2013 - Beer Festivals
This week sees the start of the most excellent Star Beer Festival.
Over 40 different cask ales, all cellar cooled and two of our dry
hopped festival specials will be available. Also, this weekend sees the Leeds Beer Festival which will see "Indulgence" and "Chinook" on the bar! 25th February 2013 - Award time!
It was a delight to hear from the organisers of this year's Pendle
Beer Festival that we had won overall Beer of the Festival with our
single hopped Columbus. Thanks to all the people who voted for us! 4th February 2013 - Deliveries for this week

brewing (the focus is on homebrewing but quite a few commercial

We would like to thank all of our customers for a great year last
year. We were able to successfully move into our new premises, which
will eventually result in slightly higher production levels over the
course of the next 12 months. 17th December 2012 - Christmas Opening Times
Last pre Christmas deliveries will be Thursday 20th December. We
will resume deliveries on Wednesday the 2nd of January. Local

Our Christmas beer is now available! Every year we do a pale and
hoppy brew to celebrate Christmas, so keep your eyes out for "Comet" on
the bar. This year we've gone for a slightly lower strength based on
customer feedback. 9th November 2012 - Star Beer Festival
Oh Yes! It's that time of year already! The Star at Folly Hall is
having its Winter Beer festival and we've got a couple of pale and
hoppy specials dry hopped for festival goers. The first is called
"Tilly Hearts Hops" and the second is called "Star Saaz". Good luck to
Sam and the team for what we know will be yet another fantastic beer
festival! 5th November 2012 - We have moved!

Last week we did our first test brew on the new plant in our new
premises. We are very pleased with the results so far! We
can confirm that the Hand Drawn Monkey Brewery has purchased our
existing plant and is planning to move straight in to our premises as
soon as we depart. Good luck to Rob and the team!. 10th September 2012 - Collaboration
This week sees tthe release of our collaborative brew with a new
micro brewery in Huddersfield. The Hand Drawn Monkey Brewery is owned
by Rob Allen who also owns the Hand Drawn Monkey Bottle shop. Initially he will be cuckoo brewing until he acquires his own premises. 31st August 2012 - Events
A dry hopped special version of one our
beers can be found at the forthcoming Lawrence Batley Theatre event in
Huddersfield, whilst our single hopped beer "Alias" - brewed using
Stella/Ella hops will be featured on the bar at the Swann Inn in York

13th August 2012 - New Premises
This last month has certainly been busy! The
brewery has been
alive with Olympic coverage (watch out for our gold medal celebration
beer coming soon!), but we've also been making arrangements for the new
premises. Parts of the Dave Porter kit have now arrived and this week
sees the starts of the drainage installation!
7th - 11th August 2012 - GBBF
We'll be heading down to the Great British
Beer Festival on the
for the Tuesday Trade session. This year our beer at the festival is
the award winning Citra! Pop along and say hi if you spot us in our
Mallinsons T-shirts!

9th July 2012 - Star Beer Festival
We always get very excited by the Star Beer
Festival in Huddersfield!
This
year, we have two dry hopped specials on the bar called "pique nique"
(to celebrate this year's "picnic off") and "Mr Tumnus" - a dry hopped
version of the beer we brewed with Jonny Lunn.
As usual, we'll be there as often as we can!
4th June 2012 - Battles and Meet-ups!
The next few months are really busy for us.
As well as the
potential move into a new premises, there are several events we are
really excited about!
First up: Battle of the Brewers at The
Slip Inn,
York on Saturday 23rd June - there'll be 8 of our beers, matched up
again 8 beers from Rooster! Come along for sups and support! We'll be
there!
Secondly, The Cask Pub and Kitchen in
Pimlico. London is hosting us for a Meet
the Brewsters! (Monday 2nd July) We'll be there for chats and
sups of 10 of our ales!
21st May 2012 - Legal Matters
Unfortunately, our single hopped beer that
was brewed using
only Stella hops from Australia has been re-branded after a complaint
from the legal team representing In Bev. The same beer will now be sold
using the name "Alias", although it will still be clear on the
label/pump clip that it is a single hoped ale brewed only
using Stella hops. We appreciate the support shown by
followers on
Twitter and beer bloggers, but hope you understand that we do not feel
it is worth risking our livelihoods and our passion for producing real
ales in order to fight this complaint.
Meanwhile, if any
shops are still stocking any of the 216 bottles of this beer that we
have produced, could you please contact us, so that we can arrange for
collection, reimbursement and destruction of the said bottles.
Can we politely request that owners of any
websites that have images of this beer on them, please remove those
images.

We have re-brewed Mount Pleasant Mild, in
preparation for Mild Month, but please get your order in early - casks
are flying out!

12th March 2012 - Star Beer Festival (Wed
21st - Sunday 25th March)
Oh yes, it's time for the Star Beer Festival
in Folly Hall,
Huddersfield! This time we'll be offering up two dry hopped festival
specials. The festival is always awesome, and Sam and the Team will
again be offering a huge range of cellar cooled beers, as well as great
food, a charity raffle and the introduction of the Star's first

20th February 2012 - Beers in London and
400th Brew
More ales are heading down to the Cask Pub
and Kitchen in
Pimlico this week.There will be three casks of 6 different beers, so
kep your eyes peeled!
Also out this week: "Indulgence".
This is specially brewed to celebrate our 400th gyle using four of our
favourite "C" hops: Cascade, Chinook, Centennial and Citra.
23rd January 2012
Towards the end of February, we'll be off
down to Thornbridge
hall to collect our awards from last year's Sheffield Beer
Festival.More and more bottles are being supplied to various outlets,
including the Original Wholesale Liquor store outlets!
New Permanent Pump
We are extremely pleased to announce that
the Star pub at Folly
Hall, Huddersfield now has a permanent roating Mallinson's pump!

7 November 2011 - More Awards!
Our single hopped Citra beer won Bitter of
the Festival at The
2011 Huddersfield Oktoberfest! Once again, thanks to all those who
voted for us!
3 October 2011 - Awards!
Our single hopped Citra beer won Bitter of
the Festival and
came joint second in Overall Beer of the Festival at this years CAMRA
Sheffield Beer Festival. Citra is one of our regular beers, so keep
your eyes peeled for more in the near future!
26 September 2011 - Around and About
We will be at the Trade session at
Sheffield Beer
Festival this year (7-11pm on Wednesday 28th of September - come and
have a chat! We also have five different beers on at the festival
New outlets for bottled beers include the
Original Wholesale Liqour Store in Brighouse and Holts in Huddersfield.
18 casks were sent down to the Craft Beer
Co, London and are starting to come on the bar this week.
12 September 2011 - Around and About

to York Beer Festival
today and we will be around for the locale tasting panel on Thursday,
as well as Friday - come and say hi!

Drink Festival
Come and taste our beers at this years Food
and Drink Festival
in St George's Square Huddersfield. Everything starts on Thursday and
our beers (cask and bottled) will be sold at the Star pub's stall.
1st August 2011 - GBBF
We will both be heading down the the Trade
Session of this
week's Great British Beer Festival. For the first time ever one of our
beers will be available on the bar (Stadium Bitter), as well as two
different types of bottled beers (Chocolate Stout and Emley Moor Mild)
18th July 2011 - Summer Saturnalia
In Conjunction with The Sportsman,
Mallinsons beers will be available at
this years festival. 3 different Mallinosns beers will be
available on handpull.
