The Star Beer Festival starts this Wednesday. As well as the usual excellent range of beers, check out the two Mallinson's festival specials: Cherry Chocolate Stout and MCC (a hoptastic beer featuring Motueka, Chinook and Centennial hops)

Thanks to all those who voted for Mallinsons at CAMRA's Huddersfield Oktoberfest this year. We managed to scoop the following 4 awards:

Overall Beer of the Festival:  Castle Hill 4.6%

Bitter of the Festival:  Cheers Charlie 3.9%

Strong Ale of the Festival:  Castle Hill 4.6%

Just when you thought it was safe to wander through Cleckheaton, avoiding ale temptation ... we're back! More ales than you can shake a stick at on the Mallinson's stall on Saturday: Robin Hood's Well (4.5%), Victoria Mild (3.7%), Huddersfield Pale Ale (3.8%), Chocolate Stout (4.5%), Ahtanum (4.0%) and Simcoe (3.8%)

20th September - Huddersfield Examiner

Mallinsons are very pleased to join up with the Huddersfield Examiner for Huddersfield Town's Face in the Crowd Competition. Get today's paper to see if you are the winning face that gets 12 bottles of our Stadium Bitter. This will be taking place every Monday for the next 6 weeks

13th September - Around and About

Check out the Old Colonial Beer Festival this weekend (Friday 17th and Saturday 18th September) at Mirfield. The event will be raising money for "Britain's Heroes" and we will be providing a dry hopped special called "Merlin".

20th August - Peterborough Beer Festival News

This week sees the start of Peterborough Beer Festival. Mallinsons have 3 different beers on route as we speak. They are: Fiery Mount (5.0%), Huddersfield Pale Ale (3.8%) and Paddock Reflections (4.1%). You may even catch us at the festival on Friday evening and Saturday (we'll be wearning our Mallinson's T-shirts!)

9th August - Award Newsl

Gazza Prescott from Scoopergen has awarded us Beer of the Month for the second time this year. The winning beer was "Hops at Work". Check out the Scoopergen website for lots of fascinating ale reviews and travel guides. Thanks Gazza!

2nd August - Huddersfield Food and Drink Festival

Next Thursday sees the start of the Huddersfield Food and Drink Festival. Come along and try some Mallinsons at the Star Inn's drinks marquee! Also check out our latest food and drink related brew: "Hudds Ale Trail" Many of the local pubs in huddersfield are participating in the real ale trail.

The Star Beer Festival starts on Wednesday 14th July. Two of our dry hopped specials should be on.

3rd June - New Bottled Beer Outlet

Our bottled beers are now available through the website My Brewery Tap. We are also currently bottling huge quantities of Station Best Bitter to go into the website's 52 Week Beer Club.

17th May - Meet the Brewsters!

Tara is appearing at Dewsbury Beer Festival this coming weekend. She'll be involved in the Saturday morning women's beer tasting session, alongside several other Brewsters. Check out the website here.

3rd April - Cleckheaton Farmer's Market

Yes, we'll be there again after our first successful venture into market trading. A variety of our bottled beers will be available, including some new beers not yet released in bottles. Also check out our gift packs and "try before you buy" policy.

24-28th March - Star Beer Festival

Check out our two festival specials at this weekend's Star Beer Festival, Huddersfield. A fantastic pub festival featuring at least 40 different beers all hand pulled from the cellar.

15th March 2010 - Meet the Brewer! 

Tara will be appearing at the Sportman's first "Meet the Brewer" session in Huddersfield on Thursday 8th April. Tickets are £10 and include a beer tasting session with samples of 6 different Mallinson's beers, as well as food cooked using our bottled ales. Contact Sam at the Sportsman for your tickets - which are in limited supply

14th March 2010 - Festival Special in Lindley

Gledholt Male Voice Choir are hosting their first beer festival at the Heritage Bistro, Heritage Mills, Plover road. Pop along on Friday the 19th March (doors open at 6pm) and Saturday the 20th (12pm til close) to sample our festival special "Gledholt Guzzler". Entry is £3.50 which includes festival glass, program, first drink and Yorkshire food.

1st March 2010 - Bottling News

Mallinson's bottled beers will be available next weekend (Saturday 6th March) at our new stall in Cleckheaton Farmer's Market - St John's Car Park, Bradford Road. The stall will open from 9am until 1pm
